Hotel sound rethought: DMD2 Music brings legalized streaming playlists & more brand freedom
The trade magazine Hotelier reports on a decisive update in the field of professional music solutions for the hotel industry: DMD2 Music enables the license-compliant use of streaming playlists in hotels and restaurants for the first time. This allows hoteliers to import public playlists from Spotify or Deezer and use them in guest areas in a legally compliant manner – a game changer for hotels that previously relied on private streaming accounts.
In addition to the curated genre channels that are still available – now under the name DMD2 Radio – individual channels and mood streams can be created for every area of the hotel: Lobby, spa, restaurant, rooftop bar or breakfast service. This strengthens the acoustic brand management approach, in which music is deliberately used to appeal to guests on an emotional level and to differentiate the hotel from the competition.
A new web player with a better mobile layout also improves the user experience and enables flexible adjustments directly on site – quickly, intuitively and without technical hurdles.
In short: DMD2 Music’s new services give hotels more freedom in designing their sound, fewer legal risks and a tool that makes brand identity audible – from arrival to checkout.
